It is important to remember:

1. The total debt instalments of all debt, cannot be more than 25% of net earnings, after LBS tax and employer deductions for medical aid and pension fund.

2. If you want to use the software for a cash loan business, the interest rate you charge must be within the prescribed limits determined by the Micro Finance Regulatory Council.

3. To protect yourself and your system there must be a signed agreement on date of loan grant, which states that on non-payment the lender agrees to be garnished within 7 respite days, if payment has not been effected.

4. To enable you to render a debt collection service to other businesses, you must first register with the Debt Collectors Council. You can find them here: http://www.debtcol-council.co.za/.

They have their own regulations with regard to rates you may charge.
When you render this service to other businesses they must have a system in place where a person also signs a contract for any credit sales, prior to the sale.

You may render this service to any type of business, who can give proof of a signed contract. You can even render this service to Attorneys. The interest rate that are being charged may differ from cash loan rates. If it is not a cash loan business you are collecting for, you will have to follow the rates prescribed for financial institutions like banks.

You get your collection fees no matter for whom you do the collection service. The software makes provision for all types of businesses and interest rates prescribed by law.

5. Your software is a zip file. You will need an unzip facility to unzip it. If you do not already have it, you can find many free ones by doing a search for "free zip software". When you unzip it, it will open an excel file, which is part of the Microsoft Suite of programs. If you do not already have it, you can download the OpenOffice Suite for free.

6. Should you experience any difficulty or loose any program essentials by accident, you can always request the software again.

7. When you open the excel file for the first time and a window opens asking you to choose between "disable macros" and "enable macros", please choose "enable macros".
